THE DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF E-COMMERCE IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE IN THE CONTEXT OF ECONOMIC INTEGRATION IN THE SOUTHEAST REGION

Abstract

The study aims to analyze e-commerce indices to assess the development prospects of the e-commerce sector in Binh Duong province within the context of economic integration in the Southeast region. The research employs a combination of descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, and synthesis methods based on e-commerce index reports published by the Vietnam Ecommerce Association from 2021 to 2024. The results indicate that Binh Duong has maintained its position as the second-fastestgrowing e-commerce market in the region, following only Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, the study highlights significant opportunities that the province can leverage to further accelerate its e-commerce development in the future. Based on the research, the author proposes management strategies to foster e-commerce growth in Binh Duong and contribute to the overall expansion of Vietnam's e-commerce sector.
