Accepting Victor Pelevin in Vietnam

Abstract

Accepting foreign literature, especially postmodern Russian literature, is necessary for the formation and development of literature in Vietnam. This literary reception has its own meanings and characteristics subject to each specific historical period. Accepting a Russian postmodern author with such fresh works as Victor Pelevin is quite challenging, but it also opens up a variety of research opportunities. This article presents the situation of receiving Victor Pelevin in Vietnam, and briefly introduces some outstanding works in the writer's early period.
