Abstract

Critical thinking is one type of thinking that needs to be formed and developed for students, especially in teaching high-school mathematics because it helps students to have scientific skepticism, judge, evaluate and solve problems flexibly; thus, they realize deeper mathematical knowledge. This article identifies some expressions of students' critical thinking in teaching mathematics, thereby proposing pedagogical measures to train students' critical thinking through teaching Newton’s binomial theorem.
