Developing ict application capacity for students activities writing scientific research results at Can Tho University of Technology

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) plays an important role in education and in life. The application of information and communication technology in scientific research activities at universities is an inevitable trend. This study presents the role of ICT application in writing scientific research papers of students of Faculty of Bio-Food Technology, Can Tho University of Engineering and Technology. Students were trained to use some software (Microsoft Word, Mathype and ChemOffice) in writing graduation projects and scientific research papers, and then they were assessed on ICT capacity before and after applying. The results show that the training course applied has a positive effect on the development of students' ability to apply information and communication technology in writing reports on scientific research results.
