Abstract

Whole class discussion allows students to develop higher-order thinhking skills, analyze, and interpret their ideas and thoughts, rather than just counting or memorizing facts and details. This approach has many benefits, but participation is not the same for all students. The Research results on 392 freshman, sophomore and third-year students at Education School, Hue University, showed that students participate in this discussion form for many different purposes, and the most favorite form of participation is the Lecturer raises the question, the problem, and the students voluntarily answer the question, but participation level is not high.
