Developing mathematical problem-solving competence for 10th graders through solving equations to quadratic equation

Abstract

Under the 2018 General Education Program, mathematical problem-solving competence is critical and needs to be formed and developed for students. Nationawide studies have  been done on relevant issues and recommended ways to improve this competence. Based on those studies, the article presents the manifestations of mathematical problem-solving competence for students in high schools. Thereby, the article proposes some measures for improvement through teaching to tackle equations related to quadratic equations (Math 10).
