Artistic contributions of Y Phuong’s poetry to modern Vietnamese poetry

Abstract

Y Phuong is a poet with the soul of the Northwest mountains and forests. Coming to Y Phuong's poetry is coming to an artistic world with a strong imprint of the Tay ethnicity. Y Phuong has woven "brocade" for modern Vietnamese poetry. From an artistic perspective, Y Phuong's poetry has brought very new experiences to readers. Through two poetry collections "Loi chuc" (1991) and "Vu khuc Tay" (2015), Y Phuong has demonstrated the process of serious artistic activities with a noble sense of responsibility of people from Cao Bang fatherland. In particular, with the use of parallel poetic language, unique artistic images and characteristic rhetorical devices, the two poetry collections have brought many new discoveries to readers, enriching the soul of readers and makes many unforgettable impressions.
