MANAGING THE ACTIVITIES OF DIVISIONS IN CULTURE AND TOURISM FACULTY, DONG THAP UNIVERSITY, CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Division is the component of the training faculty and the core of related activities of the faculty in particular and the university in general. These related activities comprise 3 main types: teaching, scientific research and faculty development. The Faculty of Culture - Tourism, Dong Thap university was established in the academic year 2013 - 2014 with 3 divisions managing 4 training programs. Since its foundation, the activities in all the divisions have generally met its functions and duties. Among them, the divisons’ management has substantially contributed to the overall achievements. However, in their activities the management has encountered a number of limitations requiring timely solutions. Therefore, this article presents the recent situation and management of the divisions’ activities in Culture-Tourism Faculty, making evaluations and suggestions to improve the quality of activity management, contributing to the development of this faculty in particular and the quality of the University’s training in general.
