Cultural values in worshipping the goddess of sam mountain to tourism development in An Giang province

Abstract
An Giang, a newly discovered land for over 300 years, holds many unique folk religions, including the worship of the Goddess Sam Mountain. The temple for this Goddess is associated with the GodMother-worshipping festival well-known to many people. This place has long been a familiar pilgrimage destination for many people in the South and it has also attracted many domestic and foreign tourists. Currently, the worship of this Goddess has been exploited as a unique tourism product. On the basis of studying the worship of Goddess Sam Mountain, the article discusses the issues of exploiting the ritual practices for tourism development in An Giang.
