DEVELOPING PROBLEMS SOLVING SKILLS FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS TIEN GIANG UNIVERSITY THROUGH THE GENERAL LAW TOPIC

Abstract

General law is a compulsory subject for first-year students in all Vietnamese universities. The module equips students with basic knowledge of the state, law and some basic provisions of a number of legal branches in the Vietnamse legal system. To achieve good results in the module, students must have problem solving skills. So, what is problem solving skills? What factors influence student problem-solving skills? How is the situation of first-year students’ problem-solving skills at Tien Giang University? What measures should be taken to develop first-year students' problem solving skills through the general law module? In this article, these issues would be thoroughly discussed.
