MEASURES TO ORGANIZE PRACTICAL AND EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES IN TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Abstract
In the General Education Program in Mathematics 2018, practical and experiential activities are compulsory with a specific number of periods for each grade at primary schools. The purpose of these activities is to encourage students to apply mathematical knowledge into practice by using real or simulated situations. In this article, we discuss some theoretical issues related to practical and experiential activities in Mathematics, thereby proposing some pedagogical measures to organize these activities in primary schools, contributing to achieve the goal of educational reform in the current context.
