PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORM IN DONG THAP AND LESSONS FOR OTHER PROVINCES

Abstract

In Vietnam, public administrative reform is considered as an important mission to improve administration’s effects and effectiveness, contributing to develop economy – society and enhance the quality of people’s material and spiritual  life. This is a hard and challenging process with numerous barriers. Some provinces have succeeded, setting a good example for other provinces to follow and Dong Thap province is a typical one. The article assesses the results of Dong Thap’s public administrative reform, analyses the contributing factors and sums up experience lessons for other provinces to implement Public Administration Reform Program achieving expected goals.
