Today's blockchain can be a debatable issue. Most people aware of technology, however, agree that blockchain plays a vital role in digital transformation. That can be further proven by China's recent success in its corporate blockchain plan. What are the opportunities and obstacles for developing countries like Vietnam? The article reviews reliable research papers and surveys, clarifying the background and finding out why governments all care about enterprise blockchain and why China's blockchain plan was able to win over the United States. Thereby, it assesses incomplete aspects, studying trends and predictions to suggest some potential applications of blockchain technology that could be exploited soon.
