Abstract

Study on the impact of emotional intelligence on stress in the work of PG employee in Can Tho. The model is based on the emotional intelligence theory of Petrides and Furnham (2001) and the scale of Arora (2011), consisting of four elements of Emotional Intelligence that influence the stressors of PG: Emotion regulation, self-control, harmony and happiness. The dataset consisted of 150 observations, verified by Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient, EFA factor analysis, and multivariate regression analysis. Research results show that PG employee with high emotional intelligence, namely harmony, high self-control, will reduce stress in the work of PG, as well as factors that reduce the stress on the work of PG employee's.
