Middle income trap in the Middle East - North Africa: Israel case

Abstract

Articles overall assessment of the state of economic development of the Middle East - North Africa and pointed out that the criterion of per capita income, only 4 countries with high incomes. In four countries, Israel is a special case with the starting point is the low-income countries and only took 21 years to move to middle income status and the next 17 years to become bar-income countries high. Key to the success of Israel's development based on high-quality resources and invest effectively for the development of science and technology. Lessons learned of Israel is worth learning for a latecomer country like Vietnam.
