Transfer comparative advantage in Vietnam's export structure

Abstract

Determining the comparative advantage is an important basis for shaping the international trade policy of a country. Comparative advantage varies with each stage of economic development and perception is important for the development of appropriate international trade policies. The paper uses the Balassa model to identify the comparative advantages of Vietnam's exports, compares the comparative advantage in the export structure, and suggests policy recommendations to make full use of the comparative advantage. To shift the export structure towards modern industry.
