Combined fiscal policy and current monetary policy

Abstract

The government and the central bank have two important tools to run the economy: fiscal and monetary policy. If used properly, both tools can produce similar results in stimulating the economy and slowing down as the economy grows hot. The paper outlines some of the difficulties in the coordination of fiscal and monetary policy over the past few years, and offers some solutions to strengthen the combination of fiscal and monetary policy to promote economic growth.
