Foreign direct investment in the new wave of trade liberalization in Vietnam

Abstract

Applying the gravity model to data from 16 major foreign direct investment partners of Vietnam in 2003-2014, the results of the study suggest that trade liberalization has a significant impact on trade. To attract foreign direct investment. From empirical results, the paper provides policy recommendations that help to promote foreign direct investment flows in the context of new free trade.
