Credit Solutions for Rural-Agricultural Development in Vietnam

Abstract

Rural agriculture has been playing an essential role in the Vietnamese economy. The Vietnamese Communist Party (VCP) and Government regard agricultural development and farmer life enhancement as top priorities. In reality, however, there are so many targets to accomplish in order to motivate the overall development of agriculture. Among these is credit supply that is indispensable for agricultural development. Therefore, this paper presents facts of credit supply for the agricultural sector, and its outstanding problems and limitations.
