Social-emotional learning has become an important focus in early childhood education as it provides a fundamental foundation for children’s personality development and social adaptation. The period from 24 to 36 months is considered a critical stage when children begin to develop self-awareness, express emotions more clearly, and establish their first social interactions. This article reviews both domestic and international studies on social- emotional education, analyzes the characteristics of social-emotional development in children aged 24-36 months, and highlights the role of social-emotional education in the holistic development of preschool children. Based on these analyses, several educational measures are proposed to enhance the effectiveness of social-emotional education for children aged 24-36 months in preschool settings.
