Abstract

This paper presents the content of developing a method for determining the number of connections in high-order cellular neural networks based on the method of determining the number of connections in cellular neural networks proposed by Leon O. Chua. The method of determining the number of connections in high-order cellular neural networks proposed by the author team will help researchers perform calculations and simulations. This paper presents the steps in the process of determining the number of connections with the first-order, second-order, and third-order networks. The higher the order, the more connections increase exponentially, leading to a large number of connection nodes. Therefore, We propose a method for determining the number of external inputs of a cell with different radius r in a general form for high-order
cellular neural networks. This will facilitate the development of cellular neural network applications, embedded systems, image processing, and future applications with a high-order cellular neural network, while creating a tool for verification during the design process of the cellular neural network.
