The community’s role in the conservation and promotion of the minorities’ cultural heritage in Quang Ninh province in the context of integration and development

Abstract

Originating from a strong community, all members of the community have obligations and responsibilities in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values in a voluntary and self-disciplined spirit. This is reflected in the diversity of forms of practice and expression of tangible and intangible cultural heritage values created, nurtured and handed down by the community through generations. The cultural heritage of the ethnic minorities in Quang Ninh province contains a wide range of human values, reflected in friendly and harmonious behavior among people, as well as between people and the natural and social environment. However, in the process of socio-economic development, the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in Quang Ninh province is rapidly losing due to the impact of various internal and external factors. Therefore, in this article, the authors discuss the role of the community in the process of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of ethnic minorities in Quang Ninh province over the past years.
