Tóm tắt

This study aims to investigate how third-year English majors, perceived the application
of the Six Thinking Hats model (Bono, 1992) in their 10-week presentation skills class at
a non-public university in Vietnam. This action research aims to determine if the students’
critical thinking could be improved while class objectives are achieved. A questionnaire
survey with 29 students and a group discussion were used as the main data collection
instruments to gain insight into the effectiveness of this action research. The findings
include the perceived improvement of the observed 21st-century skills among students
and confidence in presentation. Implications and recommendations for further studies are
provided accordingly
