Abstract

It is intended to focus on the origin of the formation of Vietnamese language that has been over the past few centuries much concern worldwide by the research workers. To draw the reader’s attention on “ups and downs” of the language through its evolution, it concludes by 5 striking milestones to have a smart look on the Vietnamese language issue as follows: i. from primitive ancient to 1st BC; ii. from most ancient 1st BC to 10th century; iii. from middle ancient 10th-15th century; iv. from modern 15th-early 20th century; v. modern time (post 1st World War).
