Abstract

English is now widely used internationally, so it is influenced by local customs and languages. Therefore, it developed and formed various types of English, called variations. Each variant has its own characteristics and major differences. Among them, the difference in vocabulary is probably the most obvious.
In this article, the author will summarize and discuss some approaches to classify differences in vocabulary between British English and American English.
