The agroforestry intergration as model of sustainable economic development and ecological protection: International experience and Vietnam’s practice

Abstract

The agroforestry model has been studied and widely applied effectively in many countries around the world and has been considered as a bridge connecting agricultural separate farming and forestry before. In Vietnam, the Government has issued many policies to facilitate the development and protection of forests, encourage the combination of agriculture and forestry, and this linkage model has been successfully applied in many regions. The article presents experiences in developing agroforestry models in Ky Son district - a mountainous district of Nghe An province. Through the research results here, the authors wish to propose management measures to apply this model more widely and effectively in the mountainous areas of our country
