Completing the criteria for new rural construction in the period of 2021-2025

Abstract

New countryside is the target of Vietnam in the future. The real content of building a new countryside is to make the material and spiritual life of the farmers more and more improved, the rural face increasingly changing and progressing according to the general development of the country. 19 criteria for new rural construction specified for the 2016-2020 period have been actively implemented by provinces and cities nationwide. However, the contents of these criteria have points that are not completely suitable with the actual conditions of localities, especially in remote, mountainous, poor and difficult communes. That is one of the reasons that make the result of the National Program on New Rural Construction still is limited. The article analyzes the suitability of 19 criteria in practice and recommends to improve them so that the process of building a new countryside can achieve more results in the coming time.
