USING KF REACTANT FOR SYNTHESIZING TiO2-RUTILE PHOTOCATALYST

Abstract

The TiO2-rutile is modified by shocked thermal treatment using KF reactant. Its activity is ten times and six times higher than that of the non-modified TiO2 by VIS and UV radiation respectively. Hence, it can be applied for enviromental treament. The morphology is characterized by XRD and SEM analysis. The photocatalytical activity is evaluated by adsorption and degradation of methylene blue.
