Abstract

This study seeks to ascertain the extent to which investment in technology by commercial banks in Vietnam can impact on their competing capability. The study uses the panel dataset of 5 commercial banksin Vietnam over a 10-year period (2010 -2014). The study finds that banks which maintain high levels of investments in IT increased return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE).
