Abstract

Blending of poly vinylchloride (PVC) and cellulose acetate (CA) in presence of N-(phenyl amino ) maleimides have great features such as: increasing thermal stability, mechanical properties and having a positive effect in reducing evironment pollution by biodegradable cellulose acetate. These glass transition temperatures (Tg) and initial decomposition temperatures (To) of CA/PVC higher than Tg. To of PVC respectively due to the formation of crystalline regions in PYC. Young’s modulus and mechanical properties under UV irradiation of CA/PVC are also higher than those of PVC because of the effect of nitro groups formating hydrogen bonds with the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose ring of CA.
