13. Building WebGIS of air pollution warning for Hanoi capital

Abstract

In recent years, air pollution in Hanoi capital has regularly reached alarming levels due to dense traffic and the abundance of construction sites at many areas. This study aims to create an information platform in order to facilitate people in obtaining the quick and accurate information regarding air pollution and thereby dealing with the problem. By combining GIS and Web to form WebGIS, users will easily access information combined with dynamic maps to get a visual view through the browser. WebGIS was built with functions, including: looking up pollution information in an area in real time, detecting user location information, obtaining user location’s air pollution information based on air monitoring points as well as air pollution warnings, carrying out air pollution statistics based on pollutant indicators in Hanoi’s area and then suggesting decision-making
