15. Building the design process and calculating the volume of excavation and embankment for Taluy roof in Zone B, Bim Son industrial zone, Thanh Hoa

In construction work, calculating the volume of earthworks is an important part, directly affect to the accuracy of the actual construction volume, related to the cost of earthworks. Therefore, accurately calculating the volume of excavation and backfilling is especially interested in actual construction. This study aims to build the design process and to calculate the volume of excavation and embankment of the reinforced Taluy roof using CIVIL 3D software. Data collection, field survey, processing and calculation of data, building a process were applied. The article presents the topographic survey, the contour plan of the reinforced Taluy roof, the longitudinal profile of the Taluy roof, the typical cross-sectional drawing of the Taluy roof, the drawing of the volume of the Taluy roof and the calculation volume of excavation and embankment of reinforced Taluy roof in zone B, Bim Son Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa. The volume of excavation and embankment of Taluy roof were calculated according to each cross section. On each cross-section, two basic axes were shown, the vertical axis and the horizontal axis. The vertical axis represents the height at which the rudder line intersects, the horizontal axis shows the horizontal distance at which the rudder surface runs through or the distance to the jerking and jerking surfaces.
