08. Assessment of climate change impacts on the Lai Giang river flow in Binh Dinh province

Abstract

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity in the 21^st century. This study aims to apply MIKE NAM and MIKE 11 models to assess the impact of climate change on the Lai Giang river flow based on two climate change scenarios RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 generated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2016. The results showed that the average annual flow, the average flow in flood season on Lai Giang river tends to increase compared with the period 1986 - 2005. The river flow at An Hoa station tends to increase significantly than that of Bong Son station.
