14. Study on forecasting small drizzle rain in Hai Phong city in the last months of winter

Abstract

Based on data of temperature, dew point temperature, relative humidity, pressure and wind from 2013 to 2019 this study developed 5 prediction equations for the months of January, February and March at Bach Long Vy, Hon Dau and Phu Lien stations. The accuracy assessment results with independent data were very high (from 60 to 87 %). The ability to predict the occurrence of small drizzle rain is very high, reaching 94 %. In addition, the study built three more general equations for January, February and March with forecasting results from 73 % to 80 %.
