02. Survey on the current status of the wastewater treatment process of Binh An General Clinic Co., Ltd., Chau Doc city, An Giang province

Abstract

The research objective was to survey the current status of the wastewater treatment process of Binh An General Clinic Co., Ltd., Chau Doc city, An Giang
province. According to the survey results show that the wastewater treatment system was designed with a capacity of 6 m3/day.night, but the actual discharge volume ranges from 3 to 5 m3/day.night. The analysis results of the inlet wastewater at the collection tank and the outlet of the drainage ditch show that the pH was 7,19 - 6,7, TSS was 38 - 15 mg/l, BOD5 was 37 - 57 mg/l, COD was 80 - 103 mg/l, Ammonium (N-NH4+) was 45,18 - 8,75 mg/l, Sulfide (in H2S) was 0,04 - 0,04 mg/l, Nitrate (N-NO3-) was 0,06 - 0,03 mg/l, Phosphate (P - PO43-) was 4,55 - 0,84 mg/l, Vegetable Grease was 0,3 - 1,31 mg/l, Total Coliforms were 2,7 × 103 - 2,4 × 103 MPN/100 ml, Salmonella, Vibrio cholera and Shigella were not detected. The wastewater treatment system combines biological rationality to effectively treat ammonium (N - NH4+) parameters, but the slight increase in BOD5 and COD parameters is due to the decomposition of microorganisms in the biological tank. The above parameters all meet the standards (QCVN 28:2010/BTNMT, column B, Cmax) before being discharged into the receiving source, which is the drainage ditch leading to the common sewer of Chau Doc city
