06. A technological procedure for updating geo - database at a scale of 1:10.000 by using SPOT 6, 7 stereo satellite images

Abstract

The article introduces a procedure to update the geo - database at scale 1:10,000 using SPOT 6, 7 stereo satellite images built from experimental research results to update the geo - database at scale 1:10,000. Experimental research results have shown that: In order to triangulation of SPOT 6, 7 stereo satellite images for topographic mapping, updating the geo - database at the scale of 1:10,000 in mountain areas with contours at an interval of 10 m, only 14 points of ground control points are required; DEM generation that met required accuracy of topographic mapping at a scale of 1:10,000 with contours at an interval of 10 m can be done by combining manual stereo - digitizing and automatic image matching. It may also replace the updating of topographic changes with field measurement solutions. Manual stereo digitizing can identify some objects that are difficult to judge accurately on the orthoimage. In addition, except a step of DEM generation, the procedure of updating the geographic base database at the scale of 1:10,000 using SPOT 6, 7 stereo satellite images is very familiar with current production procedure.
