Abstract

The study was carried out to determine the optimal level of potassium for growth and grain yield of three mungbean varieties (ĐX22, ĐX208, ĐX16) in coastal sandy soils of Nghe An province. The experiment was conducted in 2013 and 2014 Summer - Autumn seasons in a split - plot with and 3 replications wherein mungbean varieties being the main plot factor and levels of potassium (0, 30, 60 and 90 kg K2O/ha) combined with 30 kg N/ha - 60 kg P2O5/ha) the subplot factor. The results showed that 60 kg K2O/ha combined with 30 kg N/ha and 60 kg P2O5/ha increased grain yield of mungbean varieties by 29,1-42,4% in comparison without potasium application. This rate of potassium can be recommended for mungbean cultivation in coastal sandy soils in Nghe An.
