Difficulties and challenges in promoting the will of self-reliance and resilience among ethnic minorities in the current context

Abstract

The article focuses on clarifying some relevant concepts such as the will, self-reliance and resilience, and challenges in promoting these aspects among people from ethnic minority groups at the present time. It may involve natural conditions, new mode of production, work experience, ethnic psychology, the dependence, some traditional costumes that are no longer suitable for today’s society, the lack of knowledge that leads to their satisfaction with reality, etc. within a part of ethnic minorities. These factors, consequently, may cause the decrease of their will to self-reliance and resilience as well as bringing difficulties to their production activities and building their cultural life in their locality. This article also discusses and proposes key solutions that could help those ethnics promote their self-reliance and resilience in building a new life.
