Abstract
Conducting a survey with 146 locals interviewed, the study quantifies the impact of perceived risk to the locals’ behavioral intention of reducing plastic consumption in Nha Trang. The study’s results illustrate that three factors (including psychology, health, and finance) have positive effects on their behavioral intention to minimize consuming plastic products. Based on the research’s results, the author suggests some policy recommendations on education and dissemination in the coastal communities to minimize plastic consumption in the future.
