Fisheries development in Quang Tri province

Abstract

Fisheries are considered crucial livelihood sources of coastal fishing
communities in Quang Tri province. Over the past time, the industry has made important
contributions to the province’s socio-economic development, especially improving the
communities’ life. However, the industry is facing numerous difficulties and challenges,
particularly negative impacts caused by the coastal disaster in 2016. This study focuses
on analyzing the current status of the fishing industry in Quang Tri in recent years, then
proposing feasible solutions to the sustainable development of the industry in the coming
time accordingly.
