Changes in family structure of Cham Brahman in the integration process

Abstract

The integration process has brought many advantages in building Vietnamese family structure in general and Cham Brahman family in particular; however, there are still several limitations that need to tackle. To study changes in Cham Brahman family structure, we conducted a survey of 300 households under 40-year-old. The research is focused on issues such as family sizes, number of generations in families, and types of families in Ninh Thuan province and Binh Thuan province, where the majority of Cham people live. The study is aimed to examine the current state and causes, thereby proposing solution to solving the problems, making a contribution to building a sustainable family structure, which is appropriate to the new situation.
