Abstract

The Central Key Economic Region offers favorable conditions for the development of the processing industry, especially the food processing sector. This industry has been has been a focus of investment and development with the aim of increasing import and export activities and solving some social problems of the Region. The productivity of the processing industry is influenced by both internal and external factors of enterprises. The article focuses on examining internal factors that impact the productivity of processing enterprises using quantitative methods and panel data from enterprise survey results for the period 2006-2022. The estimated results show that factors such as firm size, tangibility, financial leverage, industry concentration index and firm age have an impact on productivity growth of processing industry in the Region.
