Abstract

Sustainable tourism is a growing global trend. The article aims to assess the state management for sustainable tourism development in localities in the Central Highlands using the IPA model approach. The study uses criteria (effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, equity and sustainability) to evaluate the state management for sustainable tourism development in the region. Research findings show that the indicators are allocated in four quadrants of the IPA model. As a result, the article proposes a number of policy implications to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management for sustainable tourism development in the Central Highlands in the future.
