Abstract

This article aims to explore the relationship between reducing government staff and fostering national prosperity in Vietnam. It poses the hypothesis: Does the establishment of a downsized, efficient, and effective state staff serve as a foundation for the country’s prosperous development? To achieve this goal and examine the hypothesis, the author clarifies the theoretical foundations, assesses the current interaction between downsizing the state staff and national prosperity in Vietnam, and provides discussions as well as suggestions for future research directions. The study is conducted from the perspective of dialectical and historical materialism while employing key research methods such as analytical, synthetic, logic, and historical approaches.
