Abstract

Studies on ethnic groups in Vietnam have often focused primarily on their cultural values, with limited exploration, analysis, or evaluation of other types of values. Meanwhile, international scholarship has increasingly emphasized the identification, analysis, and assessment of a broader range of values, which are equally significant in the study of ethnic groups, particularly minority groups. This article, building on the theoretical foundations of value, proposes an approach and analytical framework for studying ethnic values in general, and specifically those of ethnic groups in the land border regions of Vietnam.
