Abstract

This study investigates the impact of pronunciation and intonation on academic presentation effectiveness among 120 students at Pacific University in Vietnam. Using a quantitative approach with a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire, data were analyzed through Cronbach’s Alpha, Pearson correlation, and linear regression. Results indicate that students recognize the importance of pronunciation and intonation in enhancing presentation confidence and expressive ability. A strong demand for formal voice training was also observed. The findings suggest integrating phonetic and prosodic training into university curricula to improve students’ academic communication skills.
