Development of agricultural cooperatives in the Federal Republic of Germany and Japan

Abstract

Agricultural cooperatives play an important role in rural and agricultural sustainable development. This paper evaluates the experience of developing agricultural cooperatives in Germany and Japan, where there are thriving and effective models of agricultural cooperatives. Based on this, the paper suggests some lessons for Vietnam to develop agricultural cooperatives in a sustainable way.
