Promoting fisheries sector in Binh Dinh province

Abstract

In Binh Dinh, fishing is considered a crucial economic sector that has always been paid much attention. However, fish stocks in the province have been becoming at risk of depletion and exhaustion due to over-exploitation. The article is aimed to evaluate the current situation of the fishing industry in Binh Dinh from various dimensions, including fishing activities, logistics services, fishing output, organizing fishing activities in the province, thereby indicating that, the fishing activities in the province has faced various obstacles, affecting other activities in the sector. On that basis, the author proposes a number of policy recommendations to promote the fishing industry, fulfilling the requirements of restructuring the province’s fisheries sector in the current context.
