Abstract

This paper employs a combination of quantitative research methods namely
scale reliability test, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) to
investigate how demographic variables, measured by binary scale (0-1), affect entrepreneurial
intention, measured by Likert scale. The research findings indicate that gender and family
economic background have direct effects, whereas the place of residence has both direct and
indirect effects via family economic background on one’s entrepreneurial intention. Types of
universities (public and non-public ones) have no influence on the entrepreneurial intention
of economics students in Da Nang city.
