Sea freight transport in Binh Dinh province (from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century)

Abstract

From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, sea
freight transport in Binh Dinh province was expanded. Importing and exporting activities at Quy
Nhon port were bustling with a large volume of diverse goods. The development of sea freight
shipping helped the French colonial government promote the expansion of colonial exploitation
and create favorable conditions for trade, stimulating production of goods in the province.
